Upon arrival, Glen and Debbie had a wide variety of appetizers and a special cocktail waiting.
These Parmesan Crisps where very good. The spices in them gave an added kick.
I love it when fellow cooks share recipes. Glen, our host, shares his Soft and Chewy Peanut Butter Cookie recipe. I can't wait to make a batch of those soon.
This would be Nancy and Debbie, our hostess this evening.
Pickled grapes and smoked alligator were starters. The pickled grapes where tasty and similar to a sweet pickle. I had eaten gator before but never prepared like this. It was smoked to perfection. I could have eaten it all.
This was one of the best Lemon Drop Martini's I had ever had. It was a perfect combination of sweet and sour.

Twice bake sweet potatoes topped with toasted bread cubes and bacon added color to our dinner. In my opinion this just screams fall.
Stone, Nancy and John gather around the table anticipating the dinner that Debbie and Glen are plating.
This group has know each other for a very long time. It's always fun to get together and hear some of the stories from the past and present.
Sandra, Bill and I
John was probably the most entertaining of the evening. He had some funny string stories he recounted that kept us laughing throughout the evening.
Seriously, are we at Flemming's? Look at that Prime Rib, twice baked sweet potato and spinach casserole. I had waited all day for this. I was so excited, it was all I could do to stop eating long enough to take this picture.
Happy Birthday Stone!!!
Debbie and Glen made a Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding that was the perfect birthday dessert for Stone who happens to be a lover of Krispy Kreme Donuts. They know him so well.
