You're Still The One

Everyone has the chance of finding that certain someone.  Not everybody does.  Are humans capable of staying in love?  Sure they are.  Look at all the people around us that have been married fifty plus years.  In order for love to be real it has to be expressed by the things you do.   Relationship is like a plant, it needs daily attention.  It needs to be nourished and cared for.  Each needs to know that you support and are there for each other and have each others back.  There needs to be communication.

On July 29, 1959 Buck and Karen had their first date.    It's been fifty-six years since that night.  This evening Stone and I where invited to their home for the semi-annual KJBJMJ Invitational, (dinner and Mahjongg).  During the evening Buck shared the story of his early days of seeing Karen, to their first date.  As they say, the rest is history.  Apparently they've done all the right things throughout their married life.  Like someone once said, "those that play together, stay together".

Ok, maybe I didn't Mahjong the entire evening, not to mention the fact that I was the only one who didn't win a game,  but this ice-cream sunday sure was yummy as was the dinner of hamburgers, potato salad and fresh fruit.  Hey just looking at the positive side.
