Abby Gail had us up early this morning for my Mother's Day surprise . A walk and breakfast picnic up to the highest point in Austin, stopping along the way to pick up food from Torchy's Tacos-Damn Good Taco's
http://torchystacos.com. Arriving at our destination, we hiked up 100 steps where a hidden treasure, Mt. Bonnell was revealed. From here you have glimpse of the Colorado River and the enormous buildings of downtown Austin. While here Abby Gail and I did yoga, the Tree Pose. After admiring the view, having breakfast and practicing our pose, we left to venture over to Mayfield Park
http://mayfieldpark.org, where peacocks received the visitors. The preserve is a 21 acre natural area that circles the park with walking trails and wildlife.
