200,000 indoor lights.
48' tall Christmas Tree
Two million lights were strung throughout the property.
This was my first time to see the Radio City Rockets who were celebrating there 85th anniversary this year. This was also their final season to perform at the Grand Ole Opry House. Dynamic numbers included Santa taking center stage, the parade of the Wooden Soldiers and the Living Nativity that included live camels, sheep and a donkey on stage.
Also included in the show at the Grand Ole Opry was a 3-D sleigh ride movie.
Carleen, Daniel, Stone and I put on 3-D glasses to view Santa flying by Washington Square Park, past the Empire State building, through Central Park and past the holiday windows on Fifth Avenue as he looks for a gift for Mrs. Claus.
15,000 Poinsettias decorated the resort.
Numerous artists have designed Christmas trees to be auctioned with money donated to their charity of choice in the Gaylord Opryland's Parade Of Trees. Among those where:
My favorite Christmas tree was Dolly Parton's, which benefits the Imagination Library.
Martina McBride's Christmas tree benefits the National Military Association/H.E.R.O Child Rescue
CorpsBenefiting the Monroe Carell Children's Hospital at Vanderbuilt and Galilean Home Ministries was Charlie Daniel's Christmas tree.
